Hi Everyone -
My October Country Living Magazine just came yesterday and I can't even tell you (well I can try) how exciting it is. It is so fun to see the pictures that they took. Oops, sorry - a little history. The editor-at-large from Country Living Magazine, Jane Dagmi came last October with a photographer - Kathy Quirk-Syvertsen and did 2 days of shooting at the shop. We had 2 of the most beautiful days all fall. Kathy took so many great shots and it was just a great celebration of good people, good stuff and good times. Then we had to wait a whole year to see the outcome. It was worth the wait - wow!
Oprah always says to find your passion and follow it. I think you should follow your passion and then surround yourself with great people and awsome things begin to happen. We have been so greatful to all the people who have put so much into Haupt Antiek and have so much fun doing it.
By the way - we had a great buying trip in Europe. I will tell you all about our upcoming trip soon.

We Made It To Europe!

HI EVERYONE,
WE MADE IT TO EUROPE; THE KEYBOARD IS DIFFERENT IN EUROPE AND ALL THE LETTERS ARE IN DIFFERENT PLACES ON THE KEYBOARD SO IF I MAKE SPELLING ERRORS IT WONT BE INTENTIONAL; WE FLEW INTO FRANKFURT AND THEN DROVE DOWN TO SEE OUR SON NICK. HE IS DOING A STUDY ABROARD PROGRAM IN FRIEBURG, GERMANY IN THE BLACK FOREST. ON FRIDAY WE WENT TO COLMAR, FRANCE TO A SMALL FLEA MARKET IN A MOST BEAUTIFUL LITTLE TOWN. IT HAS ALL THE TIMBERED BUILDINGS AND LOTS OF FLOWERS IN THE SUMMER. WE ONLY FOUND A FEW THINGS BUT GOT CURRENT INFORMATION ON OTHER FLEA MARKETS IN THE AREA. WE LEFT COLMAR FOR A FLEA MARKET IN STRSBORG, FRANCE. WE WERE UP AND OUT THE DOOR BY 6AM TO GET ALL THE GOOD DEALS BUT THE DEALERS WERE BUSY SETTING UP AND WE DIDNT GET MANY GOOD DEALS AND IT WAS REALLY COLD. WE ARE NOW HEADING OUT TO SEE SOME SMALL TOWNS AND SOAK UP THE BEAUTY. FOUND THE CHOCOLET FILLED CROISSANTS AND GOOD COFFEE SO ALL IS GOOD!
